How it's laid
We prepare a compacted sub-base, fix formwork and lay reinforced concrete. Colour hardener is worked into the surface, a release agent applied and the pattern pressed in with mats. After curing, the surface is cleaned, joints are cut and a sealer applied.
On clay
Clay movement can stress a rigid slab. A good sub-base, reinforcement and well-placed control joints reduce the risk of random cracks.
Patterns
Random stone, ashlar slab, cobble and herringbone brick patterns are all available, in greys, buffs, reds and charcoal, with borders in a contrasting colour.
Water
Printed concrete is impermeable, so it's laid to falls with a drainage channel or run-off to a soakaway or lawn on your land.
Looking after it
A clean and reseal every few years keeps the colour fresh.
